France

After Normandy, we went to Mont St Michele. The abbey was built in 1017 and the town is still there! No cars and cobblestone roads with a moat at high tides and a draw bridge... It was incredible!

The drawbridge:

Felt like a princess and that I needed a tall hat with ribbons :)

The next morning we got up and moving to go visit Brian's mom's family that live in France. The French love their bakeries! Makes it a little hard to be gluten free though. Lots of coffee and trailmix for me :)

Brian's mom's family in Amiens:

It was incredible to drive through France and so neat to meet Brian's family. Great food and great company... And wine at lunch is my favorite!

We learned that the French control speed limits by cameras too and Brian has a lead foot, so we had a  few tickets waiting for him when we got home.  Whoops! Then we were on to Belgium!
