Bedroom furniture!

For the past 2 1/2 years we have been using our extra room by the master bedroom as a closet, so the only thing in our master bedroom was a bed, a clock, a small bookshelf, and two candles. That is all. Very basic. I have been scouring Craigslist for bedroom sets and had no luck based on our budget and my taste ;)

Then about 2 months ago when we started to get the nursery ready we had to get down to business and get dressers for our bedroom. So if you give a mouse a cookie... That meant I wanted everything including a bed frame, side tables, a whole coordinated set. So we ordered from a a small company in Spokane that I fell in love with their style and the price was right on so we ordered a whole set. 8 weeks later they delivered... Part of the set. 

No kidding, they forgot our knobs for all the drawers, the bed frame pieces that actually hold the mattress, and the mirror that goes on top of the dresser. So, every part of the furniture was messed up. We had a halfway bedroom for almost two weeks. 

 

Just yesterday that came by and finished the delivery. Our drawers work, our bed is on the frame, and we have the mirror. 

I'm so excited about how the furniture makes our room homey and finally finished! :) well worth the wait

Week 24

24 weeks and over a pound! The size of a corn on the cob!! The little bump doesn't go away when I try to "suck in" my belly anymore :)

The nurse in me is thankful for every day past 24 weeks. :)

Week 23

23 weeks and the size if a mango, about one whole pound this week! Grow baby, grow! :)

Feeling him kicking around and I love it, Brian even felt him tap a little on my belly last Friday for the first time! 

Every once and a while it takes my breath away how blessed we are.  Literally sometimes it makes me stop what I am doing out of disbelief. I am so thankful for my husband, our growing family, our dog, our house, our jobs... Counting my blessing and saying many, many prayers of thanks.

Week 22

22 weeks and the size of a spaghetti squash! Very exciting week because we started to get our little guy's nursery together!

We had a busy weekend.  We went to the duck game on Saturday,

On Sunday Brian took Dale duck hunting for the first time and then we picked up our baby furniture!

Then the Buersmeyers came over to help carry it upstairs and put it together.  We have fabulous friends :)

Week 21

Our baby is the size of a carrot this week!

Getting a little bump there and still loving his little movements!

Lesson in patience...

Life is teaching me patience this week. A lesson I can never learn too many times. 

Sometimes it's hard to stay present when my mind is always occupied with waiting. It feels like an empty occupation, but my heart has turned toward prayer more often, which is never a bad thing to come to. 

Patience is a virtue. But my it is a hard one. 

Week 20

HALFWAY THERE!!!!!

20 weeks and the size of a banana! Feeling some strong kicks and loving it.  :)

Also got some great deals this week on a crib, dresser, mattress, and bouncer for this little baby. So excited to start getting ready for his arrival :)
