Travel the World Bridal Shower- Part I

It was my pleasure over the last weekend to co-host a beautiful bridal shower for a beautiful friend. With a destination wedding on the horizon for this fall, and a relationship that has spanned the miles, it seemed appropriate to have a travel themed bridal shower to celebrate the wedding of Courtney and Delvin. With our antique inspiration and literary tendencies, we put together this bridal shower to "shower" one of our best friends with love.

Welcome to Courtney's Bridal Shower:

Your hosts! Courtney C. and I were pleased to welcome guests with smiles and cocktails:

Using delicate frames, we highlighted the invitations in honor of the upcoming wedding events. In addition, antique globes, maps, and books helped set the mood for the party.

Yummy food contributed pot-luck style and Gluten-Free cupcakes from Crave Bake Shop, with green and coral sprinkles in honor of Courtney and Delvin's wedding colors, helped to celebrate the day.

To add to the theme, antique luggage was collected and borrowed to help tie it all together.

No vintage decor would be complete without pennant flags, printed and put together by co-host Courtney and life-saver-and-errand-runner Kilee.

Mercury glass vases and votives, along with fine linens, china, and candelabras helped us to celebrate in style on this beautiful summer day in Lake Oswego.

Each guest took home a personalized antique map luggage tag hand made by co-host Courtney and mercury glass votive as their party favor. The flowers were put together by my favorite florist Grand Ave Florist (who did our wedding flowers).

A cute story about the flowers- when I ordered the arrangements, I trusted them completely by only specifying over the phone "antique inspired in mercury glass vases"... and I was thrilled when I saw the arrangements with gorgeous flowers in vases with fleur-de-lis! Once a Kappa, always a Kappa :)

Here are some photos of the guest of honor, co-hosts, family, friends, and the beautiful bridesmaids enjoying the get together:

Good laughs, good food, and a good time were had by all. More fun party pics to come in Part II!
