Week 36

Dark and rainy but a 36 week pic! Our little guy is the size of a head of romaine lettuce this week!

This last Sunday, Kelly threw a baby shower to help celebrate our little guy. It was so sweet and perfect and so fun! People are so generous that it is almost overwhelming.

Such a great group of my favorite women!

Windy made a surprise appearance and flew up from California! Such a huge surprise! So special :)

Week 35 & Baby Moon

35 weeks and our little guy is over 5 pounds now, the size of a coconut!

35 weeks is a huge mile marker for me, as this means our little guy would be ok if he came out at any time and most likely would not need to spend time in the NICU... Huge marker for my nurse brain :) This long weekend we spent in River Meadows outside of Sun River as a "baby moon," and Brian and I had the best time!

On our baby moon, I got to spend two days at the Sun River spa! Day one I got to have a facial and hot oil scalp massage, and day two I got to spend time in their pool. It was incredible for this very pregnant mama to be :)

In my spa robe and slippers ;)

Saturday afternoon Brian and I saw the movie Lone Survivor. It was great but so sad! A great date though with my hubby!

The next day Brian went hunting with Dale

While they were out hunting, I got to spend the morning with one of my favorite ladies, Kilee:

That night Brian and I went to 10 Barrel and had great food and watched the Seahawks game. It was another great date night with Brian :)

Today we headed home, and we were talking about how great a trip this was. It was such a fun get away before our baby comes!

Week 34

34 weeks and the size of a cantaloupe!

We were thrown celebrations this weekend by our Fisher friends and Brian's Family this last weekend.

We had a great time at our Duck themed party with the Fisher friends:

With the cohosts Sarah and Piper. Love these women :)

Sarah and CJ made this party favor that is to die for! The Billy Baroo homemade beer. It is amazing and we are so thankful for our friends the Barkema Family.

People are so generous and it's incredible how nice everyone is. It is odd being thrown the party as opposed to the one throwing it,  but Brian and I feel very loved and supported :) The next day we had a baby shower brunch at Brian's parents house.

Such a great shower, and everyone was so generous! After the shower we went through Brian's baby book and we found his nurse when he was born at Good Sam, and I know her! I have worked with her multiple times, and she is so sweet. Talk about a small world! Here is the photo of my tiny baby husband with my coworker Mary almost 30 yrs ago:

Week 33

33 weeks and our baby weighs as much as a pineapple!

This past week we celebrated the New Year with an early night, I worked NYE and New Year's Day so we counted down with the east coast ball drop. We had popcorn, I had hot chocolate and Brian had a whiskey coke... And we went to bed.  Talk about a different celebration than what we have done before!

My resolution this year is to be a good mom, and Brian's is to be a good dad. We are so excited for our next adventure as parents!
